Lest you think the unemployment rate is the biggest concern, just know that the jobs created by the stimulus aren’t coming cheap. Turns out the roughly 10K jobs created with the stimulus by the DOE cost roughly $195K a piece. What a bargain!

I never liked the “created or saved” “metric.” It was dishonest, and the projections used are clearly broken.

According to Recovery.gov, which no longer uses the “created or saved” metric and has not since January, 749,779 jobs were funded by ARRA between April and June 30. Is it your position that such job creation would be just as well provided by a supply- rather than -demand side stimulus (i.e. the Bush “stimulus” in 2008)?
In general, I would point to invading a country that did nothing to us and passing Medicare D while cutting taxes for the wealthiest Americans proved to be quite expensive.
