UPDATE: Mike pointed out that in his post-performance interview with Seacrest, Matt G sounds EXACTLY like Matt Saracen. You can skip to where there’s 0:25 left and hear for yourself. Let’s just hope that he’s the Matt Saracen of Seasons 1 and 2 and not Season 3… I don’t need to see Adam Lambert show up as J.D. McCoy.

Matt was tremendous. Definitely the best performance of the night.
When this guy comes in with his piano….and when this guy keeps things cool (and tries not to go over the top–as Kara hinted)…..WOW.

As a postnote….I feel badly for Ricky Braddy. He should have gone through as well and the tatoo-ed lady should have gone home. But then that would have made it 9 guys and 4 girls.
I look for great things to happen for Ricky Braddy. I think America noticed.
I think Matt is so very, very talented and i’m getting tired of the judges not giving him a break as far as their comments every week..I mean obviously everyone is loving him or why else would he have NOT wound up in the bottom three this week after being saved!! He so deserves to be in the top 5 now and I’m really hoping he will do great this next week because I want him to keep proving the judges wrong! Everyone keeps saying he is a justin timberlake wanna be or whatever and I don’t see that..so what if he resembles him and wears hats!! so what!!
