Another weekend pre-GRE means another Saturday night reviewing vocab and not drinking.  Except that now it’s 11 PM and I’m eating a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and catching up on Google Reader and watching Ace of Cakes and realizing … Continue reading

Jerry Manuel said it was gangsta.

Did you see Johan Santana pitch today? Sadly, I didn’t, but it sounds like he dominated.  He pitched a complete game, gave up three hits and no runs all on just three days rest. How does one describe such an … Continue reading

While chitchatting with Drew today, we had the following exchange.  It was his quickest/wittiest/bestest comeback and he begged me not to share. So, of course, here it is: Drew: I’m doing something tonight you won’t approve of Me: Getting an … Continue reading

The New York Times’ questionable relationship with Obama

Jonah Goldberg writes about that this week and sums it all up rather nicely: The New York Times doesn’t owe fairness to McCain; it owes accuracy to its readers. That said, when I read these quotes (admittedly on John McCain’s campaign … Continue reading

Joe Torre may not be gangsta, but he’s still pretty fabulous.  His latest blog entry is about trying wheatgrass. Turns out he hated it! Let’s take wheatgrass, for example… Let’s just say it tastes like somewhere in the neighborhood of … Continue reading
