Great oration (The 35 Greatest Speeches in History)

The Art of Manliness culled together the “35 Greatest Speeches in History” (selon eux) chosen for their high scores in “style, substance, and impact.”

The whole list is worth a read, but I know you must be wondering just who gave these speeches.

Chosen speeches spanned the globe and covered all time periods, but here’s the final score of some of the hitmakers:

Teddy Roosevelt: 4

Winston Churchill: 3

Ronald Reagan: 3 (Oddly, they did not include “A Time for Choosing” which I found to be rather disappointing.  You can — and should — read it here).

FDR: 2

JFK: 2

MLK, Jr: 1

Jesus: 1
